Missing McQueen

We stopped by the Alexander McQueen store in New York to pay homage to the master. I was already obsessed with his S/S 2010 collection, but seeing it up close was the highlight of my trip. I had to have something, so I got an amazing printed tank since I couldn't afford the $2,100 butterfly caftan. What a genius we have lost.

What an amazing place to shop for amazing clothes!!

The magic of NARNIA

Narnia is my favorite vintage store of all time.  There are so many great vintage shops in NY, but Narnia is special.  I love when a store has a very specific point of view, but can also cater to many different eyes.  This is why Narnia is so great.  It's full of interesting, quality vintage and is merchandised in an enticing array of colors.  Plus, Kate is a doll and will help you find what you never knew you were looking for.

These woven booties are the most amazing vintage shoes I've seen in a long time.  Good thing they were too small!

Next time you are in the city, be sure to stop in Narnia.  You won't be disappointed.

Court

I LOVE this store. I want to put it in my pocket and bring it to Austin. Court is a must-stop spot on Mulberry in New York. They carry some amazing clothing and accessory lines such as Pamela Love, Bliss Lau, Grey Ant, Kill City and Mink Pink in addition to some stellar vintage. We gave them a visit last week and Masha and I each purchased some jewelry.

You'd be smiling if you were in here too!

Check out that Pamela Love leather and metal necklace! The entire piece has adjustable snaps so you can wear it different lengths. I also really love the Grey Ant glasses.

If you're into body jewelry they have some great pieces like this one from Trivium.

One of those mannequins looks familiar.

I finally scored the Pamela Love dagger rosary necklace I've been wanting forever.

How amazing is the dressing room wallpaper?

If you're in town, pay these lovely ladies a visit. They are also opening another location at 8th and Driggs in Williamsburg.

No. 6

I have a new shoe obsession and this time it's with No. 6 clogs.  We were in New York this past week and stopped in to the No. 6 store in Little Italy. The store is filled with their clothing collection, a few other lines, amazing vintage and of course the CLOGS! The store was filled with 10 other girls each trying on several pairs and before we knew it, we were too. They are all so amazing and comfortable. I went with a rust colored corset clog and plan on getting another color soon. They're such a fresh twist on the ol' 70s platform.

You can visit their website to order yourself a pair and can even request special colors at www.no6store.com.
